Ms. Shawnte Fripp have worked as an assistant teacher since 2008 in the Intellectual Disabilities (ID) department at Alpharetta High School. During those years we had a very large department, and she was appointed to be our lead paraprofessional. At one point there were nearly 25 paraprofessionals, who She assisted in supporting and leading. Two of those years She worked as a categorical paraprofessional within my classroom. Both of those years She supported students with significant educational and medical needs. In addition to having a categorical paraprofessional position, She also acted as a job coach to students on campus and when they traveled to off campus job sites, too. Being the lead paraprofessional, when the teacher was absent or unable to be within the classroom, She would step in and continue with the planned schedule and lesson plans. She developed a great rapport with the students She worked with. She Is someone who is patient, hard working and dependable. I know She would make an excellent employee. I feel confident that She will be an asset to any school or workplace.
