About Sarah
I am a dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience in education, including 5 years as a public school classroom teacher. I have worked extensively with students in grades K–6 and bring several years of experience teaching adult ESL.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have served as an Education Coordinator, where I directed after-school programming and oversaw curriculum planning and implementation. I have also volunteered as an ESL Coordinator for a nonprofit organization, leading ESL classes while developing curriculum and supporting instruction.
I specialize in Science of Reading–based instruction and structured literacy, supporting both English language learners and struggling readers in developing skills in phonics, fluency, spelling, writing, and overall literacy proficiency. I also have training in curriculum development and am currently completing my Lexia LETRS certification, further strengthening my expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction.
My approach is student-centered, data-driven, and differentiated, allowing instruction to be fully individualized to each learner’s needs. I strongly value parent communication and collaboration, as family engagement plays a critical role in student growth and long-term success.
