About Anastasia
Hello all! I am Anastasia Motiti. I am a flutist and i am currently working in Lviv Orchestra in Ukraine. I am touring with orchestras and operas in Ukraine throughout the year in Europe and in the meantime I love to offer online and one on one lessons to students! I have finished my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Emporia State University, Kansas and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, respectively as a flute performer. I am very excited to give all my knowledge to you and help you achieve your dreams and goals like I succeeded in achieving mine!
I love teaching and helping my students to become stronger and more confident musicians! I want them to learn with new ways how to achieve their skills faster and be able to have the best quality of musicianship required for a musician. Beautiful tone, intonation, technique, musical interest and excitement are all essential in making a flutist stronger and thus I have my own ways of instructing and developing those skills after I have applied them to my own self. I have observed numerous flutists of the highest skill to the lower skill and I have decided of what techniques I should be using with my students for their better advancement.
When I was 9 years old I studied the piano in the National Conservatory of Cyprus and I started the flute at the same conservatory at the age of 12. There I continued my musical studies with scholarship by performing in the Cyprus Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. I have won the first price in composition competitions and contemporary performance competitions in Cyprus on 2012. In 2013 I was admitted with full four year scholarship at Emporia State University, KS where I won an honors competition and a concerto competition on the flute and finished a second bachelor degree in piano performance. There I performed with ESU orchestra and wind orchestra as well as the marching band as both first flute and piccolo player. Then I was admitted for my master's degree in flute performance at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where i had a teaching assistantship on theory and ear training. Following my studies there I was invited by LViv Philharmonic in Ukraine to come and perform with their orchestra as a flutist.

I prefer to ask the warm up before the lesson and then I ask the student to play some of the warm up exersices to me so I can supervise how well they are using the exersices to their own benefit and what improvements I can observe. Then the student will present to me a piece or etudes that we have assigned on a previous lesson and we worked on their Excellency towards the performance of the piece. On the lessons I will give me observations to the student and we will focus on the most important aspects that they can improve by working on that piece. Additionally we will have some historical and theoretical analysis of the piece and instructions on those subjects.
