About Farah
With a strong foundation in computer science, I am a dedicated IT (Hons) student specializing in cybersecurity. My academic journey, including my time at one of Malaysia's top high schools, has instilled in me a passion for knowledge and a commitment to excellence. I have honed my problem-solving and critical thinking skills through active participation in numerous national and international innovation and hackathon competitions. This hands-on experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of real-world applications and the ability to break down complex concepts into easily digestible steps. My tutoring approach is centered on realism and individual student needs. I begin by assessing each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals. I break down complex concepts into simpler terms, using real-world examples to illustrate abstract ideas. To reinforce learning, I prioritize hands-on practice and problem-solving. Regular feedback and assessment are crucial for tracking progress and providing constructive criticism. I create a positive and supportive learning environment to boost student confidence. My standard lesson length is two hours per week, but I'm flexible based on student needs. While I don't have formal teaching qualifications, my experience assisting with final year computer science projects and tutoring English and Maths in a physical classroom has equipped me with valuable skills. I primarily tutor elementary and middle school students for English and Maths, and offer computer science tutoring from basic to university level.
