About Eila

I enjoy teaching people from any level of language, from beginner to conversation. I teach at a pace that is specific to the student. I enjoy teaching people the wonders of language. I also come from a background of language tutoring in Hebrew as well as American Sign Language.

I got hired teaching at my local Hebrew temple because after graduating from there, I continued my Jewish education at the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies. Also, the assistant principal of said temple's son is a classmate at my public high school.

I tutored 6th-8th grade students with their Hebrew prayers in preparation for their upcoming bar/bat/B'nai mitzvahs.

About the lesson

Depending on their level of the language, I would give them some essential vocabulary words. Also, I would be able to teach them essential grammar tenses because some are not relevant for daily conversations.

I have worked with most students at the middle-school level. However, I am willing to teach students of all ages.

I would tell them that I am extremely friendly and I am willing to go as slow as they want on specific lessons because even now, as a French major and linguistics minor, I know how hard learning a language can be. I am not going to be teaching you French fairy tales because it is not essential to a daily conversation.

I am fond of, at the end of the year when my students present their hard work of immense Hebrew school teaching at their bar/bat/B'nai mitzvahs.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would tell them to try to do some practice problems or to look on the Internet for a simpler explanation.
