About Hasnain

Hello everyone! My name is Hasnain Mohmand and I am thrilled to share my passion for the French language with you. As a sophomore Pre-Dental student at Brandeis University, I bring a unique perspective to language learning, driven by my love for French and a commitment to helping others unlock the rich experiences that come with mastering a new language. I believe that learning a language is not just about overcoming challenges but also discovering a new version of oneself.

My teaching approach involves navigating these challenges at a comfortable pace and focusing on essentials before delving into more advanced topics. Recognizing the importance of oral skills, I emphasize early incorporation of speaking and conversation, often neglected in traditional educational settings. I aim to provide a foundation that supports seamless progression in French language skills. While my specialties lie in conversation and grammar, I am flexible and capable of assisting with various aspects of language learning, be it essays, projects, homework, or exam preparation.

Having tutored high school students, I've found success in heavily incorporating speaking and conversing into lessons. This approach fosters familiarity with the language, making even the most challenging aspects like reading and writing feel more manageable. I understand the importance of a flexible schedule and am committed to finding a time that suits your needs for online tutoring sessions via Zoom, utilizing an iPad for interactive whiteboard purposes. I bring a solid foundation in French, demonstrated by a top score of 5 on the AP French Language and Culture exam. My advanced proficiency allowed me to bypass Brandeis University's core language requirement through a comprehensive exam covering speaking, reading, and writing skills.

My journey with French has been transformative, and I want to share the beauty of language learning with you. Beyond exam preparation and essay writing, my goal is to help you discover the joy of speaking French and experiencing the world through a different lens.
