About Eddie

If you are looking for an instructor that doesn't have a cookie cutter method but does maintain a plan of action. I prefer to teach an understanding of the reasoning behind a particular move or action rather than just say do this. I recently became disabled through an injury (which I don't mind telling you about) but I had to learn a completely different swing. The understanding of the different parts of the game are how I was able to overcome and return to the course. So I will want to know when something is working for you. I also want to know when something isn't so that we can change course. All of us are trying to grow within the game.

A little about my playing history. I was a late entrant into the game. Have played and coached multiple sports from little league to college. I played 5 years on the Golf Channel Amateur tour where I had multiple victories. I will be returning to competition on the Fairways Golf Tour in the immediate future as I recover from the injury. I have worked as a rules official for high school tournaments and a NCAA Regional.

The fact that every single person is different in multiple ways. Whether it be age, gender, body composition, previous knowledge or experience, flexibility, disability, or even time availability. Watching the joy of a young boy actually hit the ball in the air for the first time or the young lady gain the confidence that she WILL hit that power fade over the water. Helping a seasoned gentleman figure out a way to adapt his swing to adjust to new limitations. Showing a lady that you don't have to be born playing golf to be able to play now. Just give me a shot at getting you started on your next goal or improvement.

I completed training and was certified by the National Registry of Professional Golf Instructors B7438 in 2018.

I have competed on amateur and mini tour levels which you learn plenty of different methods.

About the lesson

Typically 1st lesson is a getting to know you. Know more about your goals and ambitions, your expectations of working together, finding out about any limitations and if there is already a frustrating tendency in place. Also I want to see what the swing looks like. If it's an absolute beginner then I'll introduce some options with grip and things of that nature to find comfortable options.
