About Ellen

You won't find learning techniques like this anywhere else. We base your instruction in what you love and your vision for your life. A music lesson is a life lesson.

We teach for City Strings Guitar - a program that brings the creative arts to schools.

Ellen is a 1200 yoga teacher, She worked for and was trained by Acoustamata (love of sound) and studied Contemplative psychotherapy at Naropa university. Singer, songwriter, guitar player and ukulele player.

Lauren Gale is a bassist, drummer, and multi instrumentalist. She is a sound healer, songwriter and singer.

About the lesson

We first discover what you love and who you want to become and work from there. We simplify the learning process by adding play, habit formation and easy to use chord shapes and techniques.

All sorts! From children as young as 6 to adults in their 50s. The common theme among my students is that they are driven to create a life they love.

Start with listening. Listen to what songs you love. Listen to the ethers around you for rhythms and tones and then imitate what you hear. Listen to your beautiful heart. Study compassion. Take yourself on an adventure. Let it come out "wrong." Feel the fear and step through the threshold anyway.
