About Dave

Welcome to Nostalgia Music! Come make memories with us! My name is Dave. I play 22 different stringed instruments professionally. I’ve been playing for almost 35 years.

I started teaching students violin in high-school. Then I started teaching other instruments there. Then I expanded to church and started teaching guitar, bass,drums, etc.

I have played music most of my life. I play 22 instruments because I have an extremely musical family. Everyone would play on the front porch and thats how I learned. Beyond that I started violin at 5, guitar at seven and kept going on stringed instruments. If it has strings I can teach anyone how to play it.

About the lesson

My normal process is to take most of the first lesson just to get to know them. However I always promise that they will learn two chords before they leave and they do! After that it's creating a repore with the student. Finding exactly how they learn best.

I have worked with children as young as 5. I also have worked with autistic children and do wonderful with them. I definitely work with teens and adults. Remember you're never too young or old to learn!

If I were to hire a teacher, I would hire someone that was a guitar teacher. I would make sure that they were dependable, trustworthy and good with the students.

Recently I went to church and arranged all the music for the service. The way the instruments and singers compliment each other makes one feel on top of the world!

Standard pricing is $20 dollars for a half hour and $35 dollars for an hour. Regularly we have specials!
