About Darrell
I speak to people like I want them to speak to me. With respect cause it's a 2 way street.
I've taught kids starting at age 8 to adults age 70 years old. We all have to begin somewhere, at some age.
I will be honest with you. I will tell you what I know about guitar playing, like anything else, it can get better for you as you keep trying to play. It has very little to do with how you feel about playing guitar, it has a great deal to do with how you apply yourself to learning to play. You decide to make it work for you. That's your decision.

Learn the mechanics(parts) of the guitar first.
Access the student, find out where the he or she is in knowledge of the instrument.
I use handouts, diagrams for students to study and I give simple test to further aqaint myself with the students progress. I teach basic guitar. Parts, string names, note name, formulas for major and minor chords, scales.
