Bill Dickman is a dedicated guitarist, a natural teacher, and a very approachable and nice fellow. He does not take a disciplinarian approach, but instead has the instinct and perspective to adapt to keep the student progressing positively through the inevitable ups and downs of learning how to play the instrument.

Working with Bill has been great. I've been grateful for his patience with me as an adult learner. I also appreciate that Bill isn't just a good guitar player but he is also a teacher. I can't say that about everyone offering to give guitar lessons. Like a good teacher, he pays attention to where I am as a student and has been careful to chart a course toward improvement that fits me instead of just having his favorite "go-to" plan and plowing ahead. I highly recommend him.

Bill is always encouraging, pointing out what you did well,even when your performance is still a work in progress. In every lesson he gives me new tips on how to play a melody better, techniques to make it easier, always focused on my individual ability. He incorporates music theory and history, gradually improving my understanding overall. He is relaxed and easy-going, never making me feel stressed or nervous. He has challenged me to always keep improving,is patient and has a sense of humor.

My son takes classes with Mr. Dickman, and he is an excellent guitar instructor. He is very easygoing, patient, and flexible. When we moved, my son was able to continue classes via Skype, which is working out well.
