About Kathryn

Variety.

I offer a variety of services as well as programs.

Children's art and craft programs, from making kaleidscopes to Christmas/Hanukkah ornaments to Gyotaku paintings (we used real fish!)

Adult Demo-DIY style programs (hand-poured soy candles, lip balms, beauty and household, crafts)

K-5 Basic Homework help (specifically reading) and help with ESL.

Guitar or Ukulele lessons for children (beginners) K-5.

I also sing, play guitar and have performed at nursing homes and on stage for Christmas productions and help with leading worship services.

I love ideas and can come up with a suitable and meaningful program for birthdays, events and community centered activities.

I love to see people helped and having a good time through creative experiences and being able to be benefit to the community through educational and entertainment platforms and events.

I have great life experiences that have contributed to a variety of creative talents from arts and crafts; music and singing and performance. I gained a lot of practice and training working for over 8 years in a library youth department putting on educational and creative arts after school programs and many storytimes incorporating books, dance, puppets and songs and acting as liason for other performers. In addition I hand pour soy candles and natural lip balms and have shared my talents in DIY programs for adults.

I sing, play guitar and have performed on stage as a worship leader, performed in Christmas productions and at local nursing homes during the holidays and I love to entertain.

My primary passion is to be a benefit to my community in creating a space where people of all ages can come and feel like they are a part, feel like they accomplished something or can walk away having had a meanginful experience.

Ideas are my best friend and I enjoy coming up with a program that everyone can enjoy.

About the lesson

My process involves assessing the group or individual in terms of age, ability and interest and even the time of year (seasonal, holidays etc...)

This helps determine what programs I may plan to do.

As far as personalized instruction, it think it is important

to go at the pace of the beginner, especially with children learning something should be enjoyable as well as educational.
