About Ben

I'm not going to teach you from a book. I got to playing at a professional level by only using online resources, as well as sharing experiences with many musicians over the years (the latter taught me more). We have so many ways to learn online, and my focus as an instructor is to help you figure out how to find your own voice. First lesson is free to see if it's a good fit.

My style of playing is more geared towards the singer/songwriter and accompaniment types, so I won't teach you to "shred", though of course I can give you advice on technique if you want some flashy riffs in your repertoire:) I can teach how to learn covers fast and make them your own, as well as give advice on how to start writing your own songs. I'll be playing music til I drop and love helping folks get into it.

I've kind of always been teaching folks because I love seeing that "breakthrough moment" when a person realizes that they're capable of more than they thought they were.

15 years playing different styles of music throughout the Midwest

About the lesson

First lesson is free to see if it's a good fit, I believe the most important thing in learning music is to stay excited about it, and the best way to do that is to have lessons custom-tailored to you!

Mostly newer players who are trying to focus on acoustic guitar

Make sure you have goals defined before you ever take lessons.

...there haven't been any because of COVID

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
"Have I practiced enough" and, more importantly, "do I enjoy practicing?"
