About Juan

I enjoy playing music, and I like sharing what I have learned with people who are looking to learn a new skill.

I started teaching while I was in college. Because I was a music major I thought that was a great way to gain experience. I continued to teach after graduating. I found teaching music was fulfilling and enjoyable.

I have been teaching piano and guitar lessons for 12 years. I have an associates in fine arts in music and bachelors degree.

About the lesson

I try to understand the students learning process. Playing an instrument is a unique skill and not all students learn the same. By understanding what the students goals are, and learning style. I will tailor lesson plan for that student. Teaching virtual is new to me, I am sure that students can still get a quality lesson.

I have worked with students as young a 4 years old to adult seniors. My students have been beginners to intermediate in skill level.

Make sure you have specific long term and short term goals in mind when looking for a music teacher. Most students should have idea of what type of music they would like to learn, and also be open to new ideas and styles of music.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Learning how to play a musical instrument takes some dedication and commitment. Students should have their own instrument and have at the minimum 30 minutes per day set aside for practice time. Lessons are meant to introduce a new skill for the student to practice on their own time. To get the most out of lessons students will need dedicated practice time between lessons.
