About Nate

Four reasons why my service will: help you achieve your goals, progress as a musician, and be an excellent learning experience:

1. Learn in my acoustically treated home studio.

2. Take a recording of the lesson home with you. With my recording equipment it is very easy to make a file you can take home that day.

3. I have a sound musical backround. 15 years of experience as a player, plays multiple instruments, and an AAS in Recording Technology.

4. Passion. I will elaborate more below.

Music is everything to me. As a child I loved it, as a teen I studied it, and as an adult I'd like to teach it. I believe one should constantly seek to better themselves by setting small goals while working towards a long term objective. Learning and teaching are keys to going beyond your limits and becoming what you envisioned for yourself. Music always rewards those who are willing to put in the time and learn its ways. I know I can help you succeed in achieving your goals regardless if you're a beginner, novice, or even intermediate level.

I have never taught professionally. However, I am not without experience. I have taught my cousin and two other friends. I was able to work them individually over the span of a few months and saw a considerable difference in their skill level. Also should note they had a bit of self taught experience when I began instructing them.

AAS in Music Production from McnallySmith College of Music. The program focused mainly on audio engineering but I also took classes in songwriting, ear training, and music theory.

About the lesson

First ask about the students musicall history, their influences, and what they want to accomplish as a musican. Then gague the students current skill level through demonstration. Finally act accordingly based upon findings of the afformentioned processes.

I have focused mainly on classic rock, alternative rock, punk rock, reggae, blues, and indie rock as my areas of study. So if you are interested in learning within any of these genres I'll be a great teacher for you.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about where you are now and where you want to be. That will help a lot when deciding if the teacher is right for them.
