About Coire
My name is Coire Walker and I teach guitar in the Pacific Northwest. In my teaching, I balance the technical, creative, and theoretical elements of music to build my students into innovative, well-rounded musicians. Lessons are low-pressure and fun, and all ages are welcome. I have been playing guitar for twenty-five years and teaching professionally for fifteen. This is my primary occupation and it suits me well; the longterm relationships forged and the medium used couldn't be more exciting.
Currently, due to the pandemic, most of my lessons are provided online through Zoom, Facetime, and Skype. I also provide socially distant lessons in-person on the Olympic Peninsula, however, I am looking to relocate to a bigger city once things have normalized, so if you live in Seattle and want to transition to in-person lessons in the future this is a definite possibility.
I found a broken guitar in my neighbor's trash can. My father glued this piece of junk together and the rest is history! I still have this guitar--almost completely unplayable--a true inspiration to play.
I received my music degree in guitar performance from MI in 2005.

Details
All lessons are 60 minutes. Single lessons are $60/hr. Weekly lessons are $50/hr, paid monthly.
