About Aldo
20 years experience turning beginners into performing musicians. Specialties include lead vocals, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, improvisation, and music production & self-production.
My friends insisted that I should become a teacher. At the time I didn't see it, but they were so right in the end.
I've been performing and recording since I was 12 years old. I am actually self-taught. In 1998 my friends and I founded a national after-school music program now known as School of Rock. I am no longer affilliated but my abilities in creating professional and performing musicians is undisputed. I learned music theory by researching answers to my students questions over so many years. The end result is that I have my own method that continually prove results.

Main focus is on applied or intuitive music theory off the page. I like to encourage the student to play often during the lessons so they physically experience the 'playing' part of music. Along with some basic rules, perameters, and practice tips almost every students experiences progress and greater musical enjoyment. This is the whole point. Playing an instrument is not easy, but engaging in musical interaction is priceless.
I've worked with all types between the ages of 5 to 75. I prefer working with mature personalities.
You don't want a teacher that keeps you coming back. Meaning, I see lots of people paying 'teachers' for years but still can't play a tune. Music is for everyone and anyone can do it. We are all born with it. If you aren't seeing noteable results within 6 months you may want to try another instructor.
My old former students tend to check in and thank me for such good times when we would study together.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I keep an open ear and mind as much as possible. But a student would do well to have a few musical goals. No goal is too small.
