About David

I have many years of experience teaching and playing and have a very patient and nurturing style of teaching . I take the time to make sure you get it .

I love seeing people find the joy of music . It's very gratifying to see someone learn .

It was a natural progression . Someone asked and I said yes .

50 years of playing in bands, writing recording and teaching .

About the lesson

I start with assessing where they are in their guitar knowledge and then decide where to start . Usually with the basic scales and simple chords used for song structure.
I then will show how to correctly strum the chords .

Have taught children as young as 10 to teenagers and people in their 60's.

Be prepared to work hard and become a great player .

One of my younger students Dad thanked me for showing his daughter how to play . She's now 28 and amazing .

Deadly! My name is Arlene and I hired David to teach my 12-year-old daughter guitar; my daughter excelled immediately because David made it simple and fun, after two weeks and six lessons, she learned two songs, both blues songs, a great way to start with just a couple of chords. He is patient, kind and knows how to work with children and adults. His rate is fair for his knowledge, talent and experience. I highly recommend him, you will not be disappointed. I would like to add to watch and hear him play, he is hypnotic and you really feel the music in your soul.
