About Dan

My teaching approach:

I teach what the student wants to learn whether it be songs, soloing or chords. I also make sure to touch on a few things such as notes and chart reading. We will discuss styles and various types of playing/gig situations(ex:grandma, coffee shop etc). I'll discuss gear and how to get the sounds the student is interested in or what the song requires. My influences are:

Jimi Hendrix! Well, he is my main influence and is the real reason I started playing guitar. Other influences are, Alex Lifeson, Sonny Rollins, Maceo Parker, Freddie Green, Ty Tabor, Steve Howe, Pat Martino, Dean DeLeo, Jimmy Page, Pete Anderson, Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Charlie Parker, Slash, Kenny Burrell, Vernon Reid, Johnny Greenwood, Alain Johannes, John Frusciante, Larry Carlton, Dann Huff.
