About Keera

I love helping children in anyway that I can. Trust me, i understand that sometimes learning about history is not the most interesting thing. But it's always my goal to make the material something that is relatable to students so that they are able to remember things.

I have always been someone who loves helping people. Back in school, I was always the go to person when it comes to helping someone understand the material. I was always writing and making flash cards to help retain the information. People would see my grades from how I learned and wanted to achieve the same success.

I have graduated from college with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I am always looking up information about current events and relearning my favorite history lessons.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I normally discuss what areas are they struggling with the most so that I am able to focus on that more. Next, I try to understand what kind of learner is the student. It's true people learn differently the same information and I want to make sure that I am able to cater to the needs of the student so that they are able to retain the information. I am able to go over the information as much as needed to make sure that they are successful in learning what is needed.

I have worked with mostly younger kids from middle school up to high school aged students.

When looking to hire a teacher, I will always tell the student to talk to them first before committing. You need to make sure that the teacher is able to meet their needs as a student and make sure that they are not just learning the information but retaining the information as well.
