About Richard
I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees during my college experience, but I have been a student all my life. I have the greatest love for our system of government, for the institutions that make it up and the history it has created. I have served on both sides of Capitol Hill as a congressional aide, and in the halls of state government in North Carolina. Along the way, I learned the power of the written word. And after writing professionally and serving in government for four decades, I feel an obligation to pass on to others that which I have enjoyed along my life's journey.
