About Jared

Hi! My name is Jared. I graduated from Georgia Tech with highest honors with a degree in Public Policy and a minor in History. Since graduating, I've been working in the private sector, but my passion is teaching about history and political science.

While at Georgia Tech, I received A's in all of my history classes, with topics ranging from Medieval British History to African American History, and A's in political science and policy related courses. While in high school, I took AP U.S. History and A.P. World History and received 5's on both AP exams.

I haven't tutored since high school, but I'm looking to try to help students who need help while away at school due to COVID-19.

I have always been passionate about teaching and helping others. It's an area of interest of mine and may be something I pursue professionally in the future.

I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2016 with highest honors and a degree in Public Policy and a minor in History. While in high school, I took AP World History and AP U.S. History and received 5's on the AP Exams. While in college, I received A's in every history class I took and A's in political science and policy related courses. While in high school, I tutored in history, chemistry, and biology.

About the lesson

We'll talk through your student's goals - what are you looking to accomplish, what topics are you struggling with, what topics do you like, what are your favorite things to learn - and we'll talk through how your student learns - visual, audio, notes, etc.

I'll work with your student on their homework, concepts that they are struggling with, and work to relate difficult concepts with topics that they find interesting. I'll also work with your student to deliver content in a way that resonates with them - for example, if they are a visual learner, we'll incorporate pictures, graphs, and diagrams so they can anchor on different types of content and enrich their learning.

While tutoring in high school, I worked with a few freshmen and sophomores.

Think through what you are looking to get out of your tutoring experience - pass a test, prepare for the new year, review a wide range of topics, etc. Then think through how you learn best and which tutor will help you get what you need.

I don't have a standard pricing system. I'm looking to help out, not make a large profit right now. I'll work with you and charge what makes sense.
