About Corey

My name is Corey Stevens and I would like to take this opportunity to detail my love of history and what I intend to achieve through this tutorial. In my professional life, I have served in law enforcement for the past 6 years. Prior to that I spent 7 years serving active duty in the US Army. However, I have had a unique fascination with United States history in general and the political process in particular. I am the owner of approximately 150 books, mostly political biographies. I am also proud to say that I have read or own biographies of all US presidents. I believe that I have the necessary devotion, passion and ability to provide assistance to anyone with a desire to learn more about American history.

For most of my life, I have served in uniform in some capacity (i.e. military and law enforcement). In regards to my profession, I believe what I enjoy most is the opportunities I have to help people and to participate in public service.

I receieved my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice in 2013. However, in terms of my desire to become a history tutor, I have devoted more than 20 years to reading and understanding various aspects of American history and politics. I believe I my knowledge and passion for history can serve as a useful tool for those who desire an intuitive and comprehensive understanding into our past.

About the lesson

First and foremost I would like to know the goals a new student is hoping to achieve. Second, I would then work with that student to structure a flexible working plan that will bring about the most positive results.
