About Dakota
I am a SWOSU (Southwestern Oklahoma State University) graduate with an M.Ed. in Social Sciences Education. My areas of expertise include Ancient History (Mesopotamian, Greek, etc.), European History, American History, and Military History, though I am well versed in most historical subjects prior to 1950. Besides my history degrees, I've served as an officer in the U.S. Army and traveled extensively throughout many portions of the world, both of which lend a practical and cultural understanding to some aspects of world history.
SWOSU history students and high school students from Weatherford, Corn, or Thomas would best benefit from my expertise and instruction.
While I love history, I realize that many students find it boring or uninteresting. That being said, I believe that I have a talent for showing why tedious portions of history are important to the everyday student, as well as making content fun to discover and learn.
I started teaching as a Graduate Assistant while working on my M.Ed. at SWOSU.
