About Leonardo

Hi,

I am a first-year medical student with a Masters in Bioengineering. I have been a tutor at Northeastern University for the past five years and have a CRLA level 1 certification.

I love helping children, and these past five years have helped me develop strategies to tailor the learning approach to the student. I am a very friendly person, and speak fluently Italian and English, and a little bit of Russian

I started tutoring my sophomore year of college. I wanted to help students improve their performance by sharing my learning techniques, as well as new ones I learned during my tutoring training

I am a first-year medical student.

I have a Bachelor's and Masters's degree in Bioengineering.

I also have a CRLA level 1 certification and have been tutoring for five years at Northeastern University

About the lesson

Before the first session, I ask the student what they would like to work on. I then come to the session with different levels (easy-medium-hard) of exercises about that topic and use them to get a general idea of where the student is and what they need to work on. For the following sessions, I will bring more exercises that will help the student improve their skills

During my senior year in college, I tutored a student struggling in chemistry. She struggled to understand the material and was scared of failing the final. After a few weeks of working together, her grades improved significantly, and she was getting more confident with the material. Two months ago, she sent me a text saying she aced the final!
