Kenna is a student passionate about language and how the world communicates, whether it be through graphic media, art, sign language, body language, music, you name it! To speak in a language and be understood is a valuable gateway to many opportunities and relationships in life, and she wants to share that with you!

Teaching style always differs and fits to adapt to a student’s prime learning style. We can have a more low key informal conversation you may have with a friend, role play business scenarios, review questions and answers, or even do a lesson over something you want to learn!

Being studious myself, I have learned how difficult and frustrating it can be to learn a foreign language, so I make it a point to be patient and set a comfortable, encouraging mood.

The thought of being able to turn around a student's thoughts about a subject or something as simple as helping them see something in a new way (whether it be a new method or creating a story to help them memorize a concept) is incredibly gratifying, and even moreso when it regards a subject I myself am passionate about (like foreign languages).

Additionally, I enjoy that this type of work allows me to meet new people, be a good influence, share interest in academia, and continue a pursuit of knowledge with the idea in mind that I can share the same knowledge with someone else and prove helpful to them.

- Collaborate with them to help them reach understanding in a way that is complementary to them, not just answers

- Assess their progress, provide encouragement

Find yourself a teacher who makes it a point to always be open to questions and adapting to the student's needs. They should be aware of the fact that not every student is coming from the same educational or even personal background, and be willing to work with you on that.

As Claude Levi-Strauss quotes, "The wise man doesn't give the right answers, but poses the right questions." Questions pave the way to knowledge and true understanding.
