About Joseph
- I am a programmer that has a fair understanding of intermediate javascript and beginning React. I learn fast, am in a programming boot camp at the moment, and am looking to share my passion for helping people in something that I truly enjoy on top of that. I like using examples and analogies to teach, as well as making a student think about why they're doing what they do as well as teaching them to teach themselves in the process.
- I've been using html and css since the late 90's, if not consecutively, and have recently added javascript to that list in the last two years. React only this year.
- A fast learner, I have a front end certificate from Kenzie Academy, which is partnership with Butler University, and am currently working on my backend certificate now.

Questions as follows:
-What's your experience with coding/designing thus far?
-What are you wanting to do with it?
-Ask what the student's best way to learn is
-If they don't know the answer to the previous, then figure that out through trial and error
Older students, younger students, students new to coding, students used to other programming languages, and more
If you don't know how you best learn, educate yourself on that, or at the very least, present that on day one to your teacher, and ask them to try explaning/showing you things in different ways until you can both agree on the best method to move forward for you. If you can't get to that with the teacher you're speaking to, then move on. Take care of you first.
I helped someone understand how fetching works with javascript with an analogy involving baseball. Though I am always fond of helping people that want to learn.

He had an impressive amount of patience while I was learning JavaScript. He did a great job giving me examples on how to tackles problems instead of just giving me the answers. He was able to cover basic loops as well as large projects with a lot of moving pieces. Anyone would be lucky to work with him! I highly recommend Joe as a JS mentor.
Joe has a way of being very patient and very clear and I always find the answer without realizing I'm being guided to it.
Joseph always walks me through the theory of what ever Javascript method we're working with, and gives me great leads when he can see I am close. He also gives me auxiliary facts that help to consolidate my understanding.
Joe was great at explaining the concepts in a way that I could understand. He related each process to a real world scenario in a way that really helped me to grasp the concepts on a grander level. He is also very patient!
