About Robert
I love teaching Self-Defense, and Kung Fu to anybody that is serious about learning.
I have been moonlighting as a Kung Fu instructor since 1992 in the Austin area.
I am currently a full instructor (Sifu) in Wing Tsun Kung Fu and affiliated with Alamo City Wing Tsun in San Antonio, Texas.

I got started teaching out of necessity. When I first started learning Wing Tsun there were not very many instructors and I started teaching friends and family so that I could have somebody to train with. I have a full time job during the day and moonlight as a Wing Tsun instructor.
I have been a student of Wing Tsun for well over 20 years and I am a fully qualified instructor (Sifu) of Wing Tsun Kung Fu.

I usually offer 2 free trial lessons so that the student can get familiar with my teaching style and I can evaluate the student to see if he\she is going to fit in.
My classes are small because I believe that it's most condusive to learning this particular set of skills.
I've worked with both male and female students of various ethnic backgrounds. I currently do not teach children 12 years of age or younger.
I would advise them to have clear plan about what they are interested in learning and make sure the instructor can accomodate those goals.
I started learning advanced wooden dummy applications from my mentor Sifu Glenn Tillman in San Antonio.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Reasons for wanting to learn:
Self-Defense, Fitness, Flexibility, tournaments, etc. Make sure that they make a minimum committment of at least one year. Many disciplines start out slowly because students have to learn the foundation. Things start getting more interesting with more experience.
