About Charles

Charles is one of the most experienced yoga teachers in Texas, with 45 years of presonal practice. He has presented and taught yoga at local, National and International conferences for the past 25 years. Charles is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT-500 (their highest level of recognition) and is certified as a Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Charles offers private and group classes, as well as workshops and retreats. In addition to Asana, Charles has been sharing the deeper teachings of yoga for 25 years, including pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, chakras etc.

He is the co-founder of the Free Day of Yoga; the Texas Yoga Retreat; and the internationally renowned Living Yoga Program with graduates now teaching Yoga in 44 States and 14 countries.

I love seeing how Yoga can change peoples lives and I love to be a part of that transformation.

Started practicing yoga when I was 11 years old in 1971. Started teaching full time in 1989.

E-RYT 500 (highest registration available from the Yoga Alliance).

About the lesson

I teach private or small group classes which allows me to give students more personal attention to adapt the yoga to better meet their needs.

Every type imaginable, from Cardiac Patients at Seton Hospital, to the University of Texas Women's Volleyball, track and golf teams.

Texas Yoga Retreat, an anual retreat in Austin Texas now in its 17th year, featuring the best teachers from Texas and beyond.
