About Jacey
I am a former High School English teacher; I taught 10th and 11th grade. For the past four years, I have home-educated my three children. I currently teach Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 5th grade. I have experience using the Science of Reading curriculum, such as All About Reading. I also am familiar with The Writing Revolution and use it as a way to teach academic writing to my own children.
As a tutor, I will gladly follow the students' and their parents', lead to determine the best course of action. We will move at the pace best for the student. I will be open to feedback and keep in mind the parents' goals for their child(ren).
I am an avid reader and a writer, and it is my hope that the student will, not only, grasp the material at hand, but fall in love with all that reading and writing have to offer.
