About Mary
My heart is full! I’ve loved and supported each of my hundreds of students along their unique learning paths. Last June I completed my 30th year of teaching. Now, upon my retirement, I’d like to offer 1:1 individualized attention to learners who want and need some extra support to gain skills and strategies on their path to success. I believe, with the right support and coaching, a shift in perspective can open up excitement and confidence and remove barriers to learning. I’ve enjoyed many years of successful teaching experiences with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in a multiple-subject, self-contained public elementary classroom setting. I’ve taught in San Diego County since 1997. Each age group has its own special set of qualities and needs. I have developed adaptability and versatility from my many years of experience to build a meaningful, trustworthy connection with each of my students. I believe learning can be fun! I am willing to fully dedicate my expertise and the limited time I have available each week to advance your child’s education.
