About Mary
I'm an AZ certified teacher having taught a range of students in the classroom and beyond as the lead teacher, substitute, and tutor. I have a back to basics methodology and feel my strengths are in the K-4 grades. I am patient and kind, but expect children to try their best and work hard. I like children to be fearless with their work so that in the midst of making some mistakes, they grow as a student. I believe that practicing at home and having daily interaction with family through reading and other educational discussions is important beyond tutoring sessions. I am a mom of 7 and a grandma of 9. I prefer to work out of my own home, but am willing to meet in a suitable location like the Southeast Regional Library at Greenfield and Guadalupe in Gilbert. I am an approved vendor Arizona's ESA program.
