About Kahra
I am a former educator with 13 years of classroom experience. While working on my English Linguistics degree at UH, I worked in the UH tutoring center assisting undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with writing and editing their course papers. Upon entering the teaching profession, I taught every subject in PreK-4th grade as well as being a reading interventionist and dyslexia teacher for grades 2-5.
I love helping students reach their "Aha!" moments in learning. I believe every student has strengths, and I try to incorporate those strengths as well as student interests into the subject to build confidence in learning so that the student continues to grow.

Deadly! Kahra has been, and is, an absolute blessing to our sins life! She’s a celebrity over here in WY to us and even our school! I especially appreciate the literal terms that she uses; just because our son is dyslexic doesn’t mean he is stupid, and Kahra makes sure that’s prevalent. Thank you Kahra for giving our kiddo his self confidence back and working so hard with our kiddo.
Deadly! Ms. Barkley was so kind and patient with my son. She takes her time to be sure he is understanding the material.
