About Sellina
Hello! My name is Sellina Gonzales Rogers, and I’m an experienced educator, assessment specialist, and literacy interventionist with over 16 years of professional experience supporting students from early elementary through middle school. I specialize in elementary literacy, foundational reading skills, and targeted intervention that helps young learners build confidence, accuracy, and a genuine love for learning.
My background includes classroom teaching, small‑group intervention, and extensive work developing and reviewing educational assessments for large‑scale programs. This combination allows me to understand exactly where a child is academically, identify the root of their challenges, and design instruction that is both effective and engaging.
I believe every child deserves instruction that meets them where they are. My sessions are warm, structured, and student‑centered, with a focus on building skills step by step while celebrating progress along the way. I’m patient, encouraging, and committed to helping students feel successful—because when children feel capable, they thrive.
I look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s growth and confidence.
