About Kerwin
Experienced trumpet performer and conductor with teaching experience in college, high school, middle school, and private studios. I’m here to help you refine your technique and create beautiful music with ease.

He has earned numerous accolades, including first prize at the Taiwan National Student Competition(Trumpet), and has been a semi-finalist in the Khachaturian International Conducting Competition, Lliria City of Music International Conducting Competition, and the Lovro von Matačić International Young Conductors Competition(Orchestral Conducting).
As an educator, Ke-Yuan has led orchestras internationally and served as a graduate teaching assistant at The University of Texas at Austin (2019-2024), where he taught orchestra and instrumental conducting. Currently, he is the music director of the UT Austin University Orchestra, where he introduced diverse programming, including the orchestra's first-ever concert featuring Chinese music, performed with Erhu soloist Yun-Chen Tsai.
Ke-Yuan has conducted internationally with ensembles such as the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Llíria Symphony Orchestra, Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, and the National Chinese Orchestra of Taiwan. He holds degrees in trumpet performance from Soochow University and a master’s degree in Orchestral Conducting from UT Austin, where he is completing a Doctor of Fine Arts degree. His mentors include Farkhad Khudyev, Douglas Kinney Frost, and Paul Chiang, with additional guidance from Daniele Gatti, Carl St. Clair, and others.
