About Lisa
Hi! I'm Lisa. I am a second degree nurse with a Bachelor's degree in anthropology and sociology, a Master's degree in Nursing with a concentration in education and community health and a PhD in nursing.
I am an experienced nursing education and academic coach with over 10 years experience teaching across the nursing curriculum and assisting students with test taking success. I am a certified pediatric nurse with over 20 years experience in pediatrics and mental health nursing. I have experience teaching/tutoring all undergraduate nursing courses including pathophysiology, pediatrics, mental health, pharmacology, nursing informatics, global health, and nursing research. I also have expertise in developing study strategies, time management, and note-taking skills to foster success on nursing exams. I also work with graduate students completing capstones or thesis papers.
I believe that anyone can succeed in nursing school with hard work, persistence, and the necessary support, guidance and resources. I look forward to helping you excel in nursing school on your journey to becoming a registered nurse.
I have over 10 years experience teaching nursing and working as an academic coach. I'm patient and utilize a variety of strategies to help foster student learning and success.
I work one on one with students to develop strategies to overcome obstacles that interfere with studying and individualize study skills to meet the needs of each student.
