About Rachel

I am a young art teacher who has been working with kids for 8 years, and teaching for 2. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but we have to start somewhere! I have always had a passion for working with kids, and decide to combine that with my passion for painting. It's a learning process for me as well but I just want to make sure the student is learning how to express themselves! I mainly work in acrylic and watercolor.

Being able to watch my students take off and letting it become natural! It's an amazing feeling being able to know you helped someone have fun, and enjoy doing a passion of yours!

I am a young self taught artist, please check the links in my profile. I have been apart of numerous art shows and a few galleries. I have also now been teaching weekly during the school year for 2 years!

About the lesson

I like to teach by doing so I'll usually pick something to paint that day (ineatercolor or acrylic). I will show them the steps to the general picture, but if they have an idea we go with it. Art is a form of expression. I will teach the techniques, tricks, and hopefully they will learn to just create!
