About Janet

As I've become a better painter over the years, I've learned how to design my lesson plans around individual students. Working with their strengths while honing their other skills makes for a satisfactory outcome.

I'm an award winning artist with collectors across the U.S. and Asia, where I've done quite a few commissioned works.

Being a self taught artist, my 30 years of nearly constant practice have made me a professional. I have and do watch instructional videos for brushing up on particular skills. Over the years I've attended several workshops as well. Each spring and summer I show and sell my works at outdoor festivals and a few indoor shows.

About the lesson

I discuss over the phone where the prospective student feels they fall regarding skills and experience. From that, I decide what level to begin on. Then, we talk about what the person likes to paint.

As I provide all the supplies and equipment, there is no need for students to do anything but arrive, sit down, and learn.
