Art is therapeutic. Seven Arts Center offers adult and youth art classes, parties, workshops and camps in art, music, and computers encouraging creativity and self-expression as vehicles to build relationships, reduce stress, improve self-esteem, and increase awareness in youth and adults. Ms. Makeba believes in philanthropy through self-expression and creativity. Through the production of art in all its forms, she aims to give back the community.

Ms. Makeba comes from a long line of teachers in education. and began tutoring at 13 in Chicago school system. After graduating from college became an adjunct instructor at Atlanta college to later create her own center in the arts.

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Visual Communications includes instruction in graphic design, animation, drawing, and other creative and technical subjects. Students may have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area.

About the lesson

Art students usually learn confidence in their creativity, basic techniques, and storytelling through art.

Ms. Makeba has worked with beginners to intermediate students looking to advance their skills in the arts.

Ms. Makeba enjoys working with youth organizations and corporations to help them build relationships through the arts. This gives adults ample opportunity to mix, mingle, network, and interact with their colleague assisting them in team building through the arts.
