About Kathy
I teach Oil painting on Tuesday in my studio near Woodlake.
I teach only adults at this time.
BS degree in art education from Madison College 1971
Daily painter since 2017
1st place winner at For Art Sake gallery Aug 2018
Resident Artist at Crossroads Art Center

I love it when a beginner or intermediate student finally gets it and has an aha moment. It can be about seeing the light, or painting shapes or understanding how to mix a color

I begin with color theory teaching the student how to mix color if they are not experienced. Then we move into a value study for their first painting.
