About Lori

I am a fingerpainter so while I would normally teach painting with brushes, if you would like a unique painting experience/lesson, we can do fingerpainting lessons

You can also hire me to live-painting at events

I enjoy the oneness with the pieces I create when I use my hands. I enjoy sharing my skills with other people and watching them grow through the lessons especially children. I teach usually one-on-one but can do groups as well. It’s a great way for families and friends to spend time together, creating together.

I am self-taught since 2017 and learn more and more every day

I wanted to share my gifts with others so created a profile

I am self-taught but my background in performance art fuels my visual artistic creativity

About the lesson

I ask preliminary questions such as allergies, skin sensitivities, what their experience is with the type of art I do, and if they mind getting a little messy (we will be fingerpainting unless you prefer brushes) as well as a little more conversation to get to know them. We do a hand and body movements/exercises to promote freedom of expression and limberness of hands. Then I demonstrate a couple techniques and “walk” them through creating a piece of their own

I’ve worked with children so far, elementary/early elementary age as well as a high school student. I have patience with all ages though as I have worked in a middle and elementary school in the past and have been and am currently a caregiver to an older person
