About Eliza

Hi, my name is Eliza Tsai-Lin. I am an active pianist and educator based in the Dallas area. I regularly perform as a soloist and collaborative artist in the United States, with additional performances in Europe, Asia, and Canada. I was a prizewinner in the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition and had the privilege of performing at Carnegie Hall in 2018. I will be performing a concerto this summer in Szezcin, Poland, at the Euro Arts Festival with their orchestra.

I hold a Ph.D. in Piano Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Education from Taipei Teachers College. My doctoral research focused on the influence of native linguistic background on music learning and performance, and I have presented my findings at national conferences, including TMEA and MTNA.

In addition to my performing and research activities, I am deeply committed to teaching. My high school students have consistently earned top placements in competitions. Additionally, I strive to cultivate both artistic excellence and a lifelong love of music. I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year (2020), to serve as President of the Plano Music Teachers’ Association (2019–2020), and to receive the Steinway Top Teacher Award in 2022.

Piano lessons offered by Eliza are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Allen. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
