About Jessika
Jessika Wolz has a Bachelor's in Music focused on theory and composition from Friends University of Kansas, and has been teaching Violin, Piano, Viola, Cello and Music Theory for over ten years. She has taught students of all ages and skill levels. Her main focus is to prepare the student for successful and targeting practicing, as well as providing opportunities for students to learn composition and theory. Her teaching journey has taken her many places, including teaching summer music camps in Wyoming and youth programs in Kansas, and heading a violin program at Guadalupe Charter School for 50 after-school students. She is currently working in partnership with Westminster College to write and teach a general music class for elementary aged children. In her private studio, she maintains a pool of 32 students of various ages, who are encouraged to both write music and perform. Her students are able to grow as musicians because of her focus on foundational theory and practicing with intent. They are able to take these lessons into many forms of music and performance, as well as for personal enrichment.
