About Victoria

I love teaching music and performing. I'm an experienced music educator who really want to help students learn and express themselves. All students are required to learn how to read music and during lesson, there will be lots of fun things to do.

I love seeing students being self-motivated to practice and can learn new songs on their own becuase they get lots of encouragement during lessons and are given proper tools to achieve this.

I started taking music lessons at 3. I hold master degree in music performance. I have been teaching both piano/percussion since 1991. Currently, my studio is located in a lovely spot in Dorchester near Shawmut T station. When not teaching, I'm a freelancer for various orchestras in the metro Boston area.

About the lesson

I try my best to put students at ease but at the same time, I want them to feel excited about this new journey. Complete young beginners will get to see how the piano works and how to locate notes on the piano through games. Adult beginners will start with very simple songs. As an experienced teacher, I always pay extra attention to how much/well a new student is absorbing and will offer them lots of ideas regarding how to approach new songs.

I have students age from 5-76 years old.

Make sure this teacher loves teaching and will focus on building up strong foundations - music reading, proper techniques, rhythm training and ear training. Find a teacher that will help you toward being efficient in self-teaching for the future.
