About Larisa
I am a Russian trained music educator with 25 years of experience running my own music studio in the South Bay.
I specializes in piano and music education for students ages 5-18. The cornerstone to my practice is one-on-one private lessons in piano. Each student learns to play the piano with technical skill, expression and a solid foundation in musical theory and form.
Additionally, my studio fosters a music learning community by involving students in duets, group practice and music appreciation classes with one another.
I have been a member, and held leadership positions, in organizations such as the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) and the San Jose International Piano Competition. I draw on these connections to provide my students with an opportunity to participate in the larger Bay Area music community through various recitals and piano competitions.

I am particularly passionate about nurturing the unique musical personalities of beginning students. I think it is a great privilage to work with our youngest students and help them develop their eyes, voices, hands, minds and hearts through knowledge of the piano!
