I love helping people start learning how to play piano and learn the joy of playing! As a certified music teacher with over 18 years of teaching experience, I always love seeing that spark light, and finding new and creative ways to help keep it lit!

About the lesson

First I meet with the student and parents for a 30 minute meeting to make sure everyone is comfortable working together and understands the expectations. Then, at the end of that initial meeting we set up weekly lesson times. During the first lesson, I find out more about what the student can already do and then build upon that if they are not a beginner. If they are a beginning student, I start with the basics of sitting at the piano, hand position, black keys and white keys, etc.
