About Clare

Hello future students!! My name is Ms. Clare, I am located in the Chiago area, and I love teaching, crafting, and playing with my two cats. I currently only travel to students' homes, public practice spaces, and online lessons. I have been playing piano for 20 years and singing for 15. My biggest inspiration is my childhood piano teacher, Mrs. Alice Cummings. I try and emulate everything she taught me as a piano player and human being. I am a firm believer that it is okay to be wrong, and it is okay to mess up- that is the only way to learn! I love bringing fun and exploration into every student's music journey.

I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2019 with a BA in Music and Theater. I have been teaching private Piano and Voice lessons for the past 5+ years through private schools, CPS, and my own private studio. I have decided it is time to expand to a full-time private studio. Prior to teaching, I have had a wide range of expertise, including accompanying, vocal performance, piano performance, and music directing. I also have an extensive background in Musical Theater, classical training of voice and piano, and Music Theory. This has given me the ability to excel in private lessons for all of your students' musical needs. I specialize in voice lessons for the younger student and piano lessons for all ages.

Please reach out with any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you to begin our musical journey!
