About Tori

I adapt to every individual's personal needs by using the best tools to help my students learn. Through many years of experience, I have learned to adapt my lessons to fit the needs of each student.

Passing on my knowledge and experience to others so they can feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. I also love teaching individuals with special needs, as well as those who suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.

When I was a teenager, audience members would occasionally approach me about my playing after a concert. This typically led to people asking if I taught lessons, which caused me to go down this career path. Once I started experiencing how rewarding it is to pass on knowledge and watch my students succeed, I realized this is what I was meant to do.

As a classically trained musician for over 15 years, I have spent countless hours studying and mastering the art of music. I have also collected resources throughout the years that make it easier for my students to learn. Though I have not yet earned a degree in music education, I am very confident that I can help you succeed in your musical journey.

About the lesson

I like to take the first lesson to get to know my new students. I'll ask questions like; what kind of music you like, what are your goals, etc. If you've already taken lessons or had music classes in school, we'll go over the material you already know. Before your first lesson, I'll also go over all of the new materials you will need to get started.

Children ages 4+ and adults with or without disabilities. I love teaching individuals with special needs, as well as those who suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.

If you've ever thought to yourself, "I have a learning disability. There's no way I can learn how to read and play music.", think again. After watching individuals with autism, ADHD, down syndrome, etc, thrive in a music classroom setting, I'm confident that you can, too. This also goes for those who believe they're too old to learn a new skill. This is 100% not true! I've had at least 10 students over the age of 60 succesfully learn how to read and play music.

Look for someone who matches the student's personality and has the experience to help them succeed.

Details

Normally I charge $18.75 +tax per 30 minute lesson. However, due to Covid-19, my price for new students is only $14 per 30 minutes until further notice.

Included in this price is a personal online portal where students can access free resources, double-check assignments, and pay tuition.
