About Miles
I have flexible hours to coach a number of styles of singing, piano, organ, songwriting, conducting ,composition etc. All online. I have music directed and conducted a multitude of works from chamber pieces, operas, and Broadway National Tours. I work with you to achieve what you want in a safe and friendly atmosphere.
I started off teaching piano in Undergrad, and then became a teaching assistant in my Masters. I am an educator at heart and have always enjoyed learning about my students and what they want to achieve.
I have four degrees relating to music, Bachelors of Music in Music Theory and Piano Performance, a Bachelors of Arts in Music History, and a Masters of Music in Music Direction for Musical Theatre/Opera. I have music directed a Broadway National Tour, as well as Associated Conducted a second. I work directly with individuals on the Broadway. I have taught and assisted at numerous colleges including, Baldwin Wallace University, The University of Memphis, Arizona State University, and now Manhattanville College.

My process is to meet them online electronically. We figure out what achievable goals are and then set a timeline and practice regiment. We then begin with fundamentals and work from there. They can contact me at any time that they need help via email.
I have worked with beginners to professionals on the Broadway Stage.
Make sure that your teacher cares about you and your goals. They need to be able to give you tools that you can use beyond the lessons. That is what education is about.
I remember playing to sold out shows for the National Tour of Bandstand - the energy was electrifying - and I had the best seat in the house.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How much time do I want to put into this? What is a realistic goal for myself? Can I push myself when I fall into a practicing slump?
