About Katelyn
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from DePaul Univeristy and am licensed in the state of Illinois to teach Music to grades K-12.
Currently I am a Music Teacher for District 130 and teach General Music to grades Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. I also have experience teaching beginning instrumental and vocal lessons to all ages both remotely and in-person.
My main instrument is the trumpet, but I am able to teach beginning lessons to all woodwind, brass, string, and percussion instruments (including piano).
As an educator, I thrive off the accomplishments and enjoyment from my students. I knew that I wanted to pursue Music Education at a young age because I acknowledge the passion, drive, and dedication it takes to be a successful musician and strive to nuture those traits for my students.
